Yahnav
News  december 2011

Yahnav is a low budget navigation program for all kinds of vessels (www.yahnav.nl)

The latest version (3.6) is here for download.
New Vectorcharts available!
For anyone who has plans to visit the English coast, and maybe wants to sail a part of the Thames, there is good news.
For now we have made vector charts which were still not freely available until this moment.
Thanks to many volunteers it is now possible to download maps from the missing pieces of the coast of the Netherlands and Belgium, the northwest coast of France, the North Sea and the entire British southwest coast.
And of course all for free.
And this is just the beginning, because in this way we are able to create maps from anywhere in the world and we sure have plans to expand the number of maps.
Note: They are not official S57 navigational charts, but we think still very useful when navigating.
The charts can be downloaded using the download button in the Yahnav menu.

Buoyage of the charts
Of course we need buoyage for these charts and fortunately a lot of buoys are available.
Probably it is not all complete, but there are many people working on it and every time Yahnav is started with an internet connection, the buoyage will be adjusted automatically.
You do not need to take any action.

Finally
If you find imperfections, if you have wishes or ingenious ideas to make the program better, please let us know!
